DiY Stain Remover that WORKS!

I have been painting signs for our Vacation Bible School coming up in July.  Next time that I tell myself to change out of my favorite jeans and into some grungy shorts to do this, I will actually listen to myself.   The inevitable happened before I even started painted.  I shook up the bottle of black acrylic paint and opened it and SPLAT! Right onto my jeans.

Luckily I remembered a DIY Stain Remover recipe I had just shared on Facebook.  Fortunately I had all the ingredients.

DiY Stain Remover

4 tablespoons of Hydrogen Peroxide
2 tablespoons of Baking Soda
1 teaspoon of Dawn (the blue kind works best)

I mixed all of this in a bowl (I will make a bigger batch to put in a spray bottle now that I know it works!) and then poured it directly on the stain and used a toothbrush to scrub it.  Then I had the bright idea to get a spray bottle of water and I "rinsed" it and dabbed it and repeated the process a few times.  Then I left it for a little while (I had a load of clothes going in the washer that I had started just before this happened so I had to wait to wash the pants.) and right before I put in washer I did it one last time.  I scraped the bottom of the bowl for the baking soda and put that "paste" on the stain and then put them in the wash.   As soon as the cycle was done I checked and VOILA! Stain gone!! It's as if there was never black acrylic paint on them in the first place!

Good luck! :)
